This is a scene from my flood fan fiction about a group of humans who flee a drowning earth though a inter dimensional portal into a alternate world ruled over by creatures called Changelings. In this scene the main human character Roger had seen these to Changeling Peasants before named Honey Muffin and Leech. The pink maned one is the female Changeling is named Honey Muffin while the green male guy is the male one named Leech.

Roger had found himself stumbling and running with a group of about ten humans after there raft community drifted up the hive river to dry land. During this time anyone who was under five years old had never been on or seen dry land or seen snow before. The Changeling Empire turned out to be a real shocker for them in that it was very mountainous and snowy. The reason for this was the Changeling Empire's mean dry land level was at least 20,000 Meters above sea level before the flood started. In fact before the flood started 90% of the Changeling's Empire's land area was unlivable by anyone due to it being so high above sea level there was no air for anyone to breath. But in the time of the ever rising flood that was slowly changing as the flood pushed everything to ever higher attitudes. When the flood had started in the Changeling Empire the ruling Changeling Queen named Queen Chrissie ordered all of her subjects to relocate inland and up the side of the mountains of the Changeling Empire to a minimum attitude of 10,000 meters above the old sea level. Queen Chrissie did this based off of information her human friend Roger had given her so many years ago after becoming Queen. And Roger's information on how deep the rising flood would truly get was now was now paying off for the Changelings and humans.

In that now as the low lying human lands began to drown in succession  to the rising global flood billions of humans now found themselves homeless and starving. During this time Queen Chrissie had gone though the breach that linked her world to the human world to these drowning human lands. Queen Chrissie's plans where simple she would use the human's tech to modernize her 1820's tech world. In return for the humans tech and building skills she would let them live safely in her land's high attitude lands. At first during the early start of the flood not many humans took up Queen Chrissie's offer in that she was a Changeling. But but with the global flood now passing 6000 meters above the old sea level which was now starting to vanquish whole human mountain ranges. This was forcing hundreds of thousands of raft bound humans to now start gushing into Chrissie's home world to flee the rising sea.

During this time the Changeling Empire had few troubles the massive inflow of fleeing humans compared to say Equestira and Princess Celestia. The reason why was Queen Chrissie was  viewed by her subjects as have a true say over everything. Meaning if Queen Chrissie wanted to build a new city as large as Tokyo her subjects the Changeling Peasants would mobilize by the hundreds of thousands to do it for her to please their loving Queen. At this point the humans moving and fleeing to the Changeling Empire also did exactly what Queen Chrissie wanted. The reason why Roger and his human friends the Smith Family where going to quickly learn why Queen Chrissie was highly loved by even her now human subjects who came to her not by choice.

Roger walked up to the passenger train which had stopped for him and the Smith Family and a few other humans. Inside of the train Roger could hear voices coming from other humans but they didn't speak English. Roger thought that these people where from the now drowned county Japan. Roger also heard a few people who sounded like they where from California and Michigan which warmed his heart a great deal. Suddenly Roger was greeted by a human in a railroad conductor's uniform  and someone from Michigan.

The woman from the now drowned State of Michigan's now long drowned City of Houghton said, "We are so glad we found you guys. Please come into the nice and warm passenger car.

Roger was freezing and he felt like he was going to pass out from his sickness soon so he had no choice but to walk on to the train. Roger was a little shocked to see that the train he was in had everything inside of it written in Japanese.

Suddenly a Changeling Peasant said to Roger, "This railroad car was saved from the Tadami Line in Japan as the rising flood was drowning the Tadami River. In fact Queen Chrissie had all of the drowning Japanese Railroad's railroad cars and supplies relocated to her Empire. Queen Chrissie even relocated several major human cities in a great mass evacuation called the Great Relocation. During this time the drowning human cities of Seattle, San Fransisco and Tokyo  where relocated to her Empire. During that time a few years ago Queen Chrissie had the humans and her Changelings lift up whole human houses and cars along with everything that wasn't bolted down moved on ships and barges to her Empire. Also during that time as the human lands suffered from the lose of tens of millions of acres of farm land. Queen Chrissie had tens of millions of tons of food shipped in to feed the humans trapped in the I Dee Camps to keep them from starving."

Roger who was very sick and could see straight looked at the Changeling Peasant and said,"I think I remember you?"

The Changeling Peasant said, "Yes I remember you my name is Leech and that female Changeling peasant is my mate Honey Muffin."

Honey Muffin said, "You look in bad shape Roger. I think once we get back to our village we should take you to the hospital to get you some treatment."

Roger said, "You mean you have hospitals for humans now?" 

Honey Muffin said, "Yes do you think Queen Chrissie was going to let all those displaced human doctors sit in Eye Dee camps and do nothing? Besides a lot of humans feel happy now that they have a sense of place and home living with us. Not to mention us Changeling Peasants are enjoying all the love we are getting."

Roger said, "What does your kind or Queen Chrissie have planned for me and my kind once I'm out of hospital or if that is where you are taking us?"

A human woman said, "Don't worry the Changelings don't bite. What will happen to you and any other new humans is they will take you to a office to look at your job skills. The Changeling Empire placers there will see how you can help the hive with your job skills. The placers will then send you to a part of the Empire were you are needed. You will then be given a chunk of land to build on and a job. But if you have family members or friends you are trying to find the Changelings will send you there in that a family put back together produces more love then people who frightened and looking for their family members."

Roger said, "The Changeling are parasitic and need to feed off of love energy from humans and ponies to keep themselves from decaying why are they being so nice to us like we are cattle?"

The Changeling Peasant Leech said, "Only part of that is true. You see we Changelings need love but Queen Chrissie is worried about us Changeling Peasants finding love energy to feed off of. But we peasants don't need love energy in the volumes that Queen Chrissie needs to keep herself from decaying. In fact me and Honey Muffin and the rest of the peasants on this train are perfectly happy and well fed feeding off of the love energy radiating off of you humans. Also didn't you say Roger many years ago that a parasite harms it's host. While a symbolic relationship is when one feeds but they get a benefit in return. I mean we Changelings are not parasites if you are a starving human and you are getting food from us to avoid turning into skin and bones. Besides we have had humans living with us these last twenty years and no one has gotten harmed from us accidentally or on propose from Queen Chrissie."

Honey Muffin looked at Roger and said, "You are really burning up. We are going to take you to the hospital once we get to our home village."

Roger said, "That would be good."

Roger then passed out and fell on the floor of the train car hitting his head.

Leech went up to him and a group of humans and Changelings looked at Roger with a shocked look. Meanwhile the last thing Roger remembered from this point on was the sound of a car taking him from the train station to the hospital. During this time Roger didn't remember much for the next few days the only thing he remembered was he woke up in Leech and Honey Muffin's house with the two of them watching over him Some Love Soup will make you feel better
